The comedy film, Christmas in Miami made N205.8 million in its second week, finishing only behind Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Comedian Ayo Makun’s Christmas in Miami, has grossed N205.8 million after only two weeks of screening in cinemas, according to figures posted by way of the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN).
The comedy film, launched on December 24, 2021, raced to N100.7 million in its opening weekend and over N127 million in its first full week. It continued its upward trajectory in the today’s December 31 to January 6 window, grossing N78 million. The movie was, as soon as again, stored in Number two on the list of most watched movies of the week by means of Spider-Man: No Way Home which grossed N119.7 million over the previous week, and has grossed a total of N630 million in three weeks.

Christmas in Miami’s 2d week overall performance maintains it in sight of Funke Akindele’s Omo Ghetto: The Saga which grew to become the easiest grossing Nollywood film of all time remaining 12 months with a whole container workplace return of N636.1 million.
It is the fourth installment in the Akpos film series, following 30 Days in Atlanta (163.4 million container workplace return), A Trip to Jamaica (N180.3 million), and 10 Days in Sun City (N176.7 million).
